The numbers prove the con. DOJ's own data shows 17% of H-1B workers earn less than comparable Americans in the same jobs. NVIDIA sponsored a foreign Ph.D. at a salary that couldn't compete with a mid-level American dev — the job description was written to game the system. The "shortage" is manufactured. The Program Must End

Congressman Eli Crane's End H-1B Visa Abuse Act would pause new H-1B visas for three years. The DOL's Experience Benchmarking proposal would bar visas if foreign workers are paid less than Americans.
